Opera singer. Born in 1877. Former member of the N. Y. Metropolitan Opera Co. of N. Y. On Oct. 30, 1915 he participated in a concert sponsored by Polish National Council of America. He sang the principal basso role on May 3, 1926 in Chicago, Ill. at the "Haunted Manor."

An operatic bass. Adam Didur was born in Sanok, Poland. He began his singing career at the age of sixteen and made his concert debut as a soloist in Milan, Italy in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. He made his operatic debut in Rio de Janeiro in 1894 with an Italian touring company. For thirty-nine years he performed in every major opera house in the world. He remained a principal bass of the Metropolitan Opera House for about twenty-five years. He returned to Poland in 1945 to become director of the Silesian Opera Company in Katowice and died one year later.

Adam Didur (1874-1946) - opera singer; on November 14, 1908, Didur debuted in the title role in Mefistofele at the Manhattan Opera in New York; two days later, at the opening of the season at the Metropolitan, he was Ramifies in Aida; for subsequent 25 years he remained a principal bass of the Metropolitan Opera where he sang 729 times.
