Jablonski, Francis Jerome Roman
Editor, writer. Born Aug. 9, 1863 in Inowroclaw, Poland. Educated in Inowroclaw, Poland and Lovanium, Belgium. In 1863 came to U.S. From 1887 to 1888 editor of the Polish daily "Dziennik Polski" in Milwaukee, Wis. From 1888 to 1889 editor of Polish weekly "Krytyka," also in Milwaukee. From 1889 to 1893 teacher in Holy Trinity school in Chicago, Ill. From 1893 to 1897 editor of Polish weekly "Zgoda," organ of the Polish National Alliance in Chicago, Ill. From 1897 to 1901 elected president of P.N.A. From 1901 to 1905 editor of Polish daily "Kurier Polski," in Milwaukee, Wis. Since 1905 clerk in the office of the city treasurer of Milwaukee. In 1908 editor of Polish daily "Dziennik Zwiazkowy" in Chicago, Ill. Commissioner for U.S. of the Polish Treasury in Switzerland. Honorary member of the Polish National Museum in Rappersville, Switzerland. As a writer left numerous books, most of them were reprinted in daily and weekly papers. Some of them are: "Dzieci Wisielca" and "Klpoty Pana Bencwala." Died February 23, 1908 in Chicago, Ill.
