Eminowicz, Dolega Thaddeaus
Prominent Polish actor of Cracow, Poland. Member of the Polish noble family. His father and uncles were commanders in the Polish 1863 insurrection. Founded the first Polish theatre in Chicago, Ill., in 1911, later in Detroit, Mich., Cleveland. 0., and Buffalo, N. Y. altogether 10 Polish theatres, educating in his School of Drama a great number of actors. Wrote a number of plays, many songs which he and his wife. Stefania, sang on the stage. Arrived in America in 1907. Died April 10, 1917.
