Obyrtacz, Rev. John, C.R.
Born in 1873 in Koniowka, Poland. Secondary education received in Nowy Targ and Nowy Sacz; studied theology in Lwow and Rome. Joined the Order of the Resurrection Fathers on March 15, 1889 in Krakow. Came to U.S. in 1895 and was ordained Dec. 8, 1895 in Chicago, Ill. Pastor of St. Stanislaus parish, and later pastor of St. Hedwig's parish, 1909. Member, Vice-chaplain, and president of the Educational Department of P.R.C.U. of America. Died on March 28, 1935 in Chicago, Ill.
