Career: troop commander to artillery division commander, Polish Army, 7 Division Horse Artillery, Poznan, 1932-36; instructor, Artillery Academy, Torun - Mokre, 1936-39; September '39 Campaign; Germany and Soviet prisoner of war (POW) (escaped); officer, Polish Armed Forces in the West (France, Scotland), 1940-45; cartographer, U.S. Geological Survey, 1957-80; Retired.
