[Abramowicz Picture]

Abramowicz, Dan (Danny)- Regarded as too "small and slow" by NFL scouts, Abramowicz parlayed grit and an uncanny ability to catch any football thrown in his general vicinity. He had an outstanding nine-year career (1967-75) as a wide receiver. He enjoyed his greatest success with the New Orleans Saints, where he led the league with 73 receptions for 1,016 yards in 1969 and set a record for catching at least one pass in 105 consecutive games.
Was a record pass-receiver with the San Francisco Forty-niners. (Inducted into the Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame in 1992)
