Aksamitowski, Vincent.
General Brigadier of Artillery. Born in 1763 in Poland; took part in Polish-Russian War in 1794 under General Thaddeus Kosciuszko. Distinguished himself by organizing the Polish Legion in Italy under General Napoleon Bonaparte. Took part in Napoleonic Wars and in the Napoleonic Expedition to San Domingo Island. Until 1825 General Brigadier of the Polish Army in the Grand Duchy of Warsaw. Died in 1828.
