Henry Anasiewicz (1933 - 2005)
Systems operator, Korean War veteranHenry Martin Anasiewicz, a retired systems operator, died peacefully at his home in Plymouth Meeting, surrounded by his loving family. He was 72.
Mr. Anasiewicz, a resident of Plymouth Meeting, was employed by Philadelphia Electric Co. "PECO" for 31 years and by PJM Interconnection Division of Trooper. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church for 32 years. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial " School of Swedesburg, a 1950 graduate of St. Matthew's High School in Conshohocken. He also attended Loyola College (now Marymount) in California. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving aboard the USS Boxer. He enjoyed playing golf.
Born in Swedesburg on Jan. 13, 1933, he was the son of Caroline "Carrie" (Marszal) Anasiewicz, of Swedesburg and the late Henry M. Anasiewicz.
Besides his mother, Mr. Anasiewicz is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Ann (Pastorius) Anasiewicz; children: Martin H. and his wife Susan, of East Norriton; Annette Volpe and her husband Anthony, of North Coventry; Karen Mastrocola and her husband Mark, of King; of Prussia; and J. Matthew and his wife Sharon, of Jackson, NJ; grandchildren: Derek, Kyle, Amanda and Madeline Anasiewicz, and Allison and Michael Volpe; six step-grandchildren; and a sister, Dolores Barszowski of King of Prussia; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Rd., Plymouth Meeting. Entombment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 :30 a.m. at the Church.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to either Epiphany of Our Lord Church Memorial Fund, 3050 Walton Rd., Plymouth Meeting, Pa. 19462 or The Montgomery Home Care Hospice, 25 W. Fornance St., Norristown, Pa., 19401. Arrangements are by the Bernard S. Gutowski Funeral Home of Swedesburg in Upper Merion Twp.
