Joseph J. 'Ancy' Anceravige (1944 - 2001)
Machinist, Navy veteranJoseph J. "Ancy" Anceravige, 56, of 505 W. Pine St., Mahanoy City, died Wednesday morning at his residence.
Born in Mahanoy City, July 22, 1944, he was the son of Katherine (Demko) Anceravige, Mahanoy City and the late Joseph E. Anceravige Jr.
He was a graduate of the Mahanoy Area High School class of 1962 and was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.
He was a retired Machinist and had worked 34 years for Goss Graphics, formerly Rockwell International, West Reading. A U.S. Navy Veteran; he was a member of the American Legion Post 996, Dushore; social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; West End Fire and Rescue, Mahanoy City; and the United Steel Workers Union Local 6996, AFL-CIO-CLC.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann (Williams); daughters, Susanne Seltzer, Frackville and Paula Kuczynski, Mahanoy City; brother, Michael Anceravige, Lavelle; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc., 300 W. Center St., Mahanoy City; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Mahanoy City.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Mahanoy City.
Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made at the funeral home to St. Joseph Church or Pinnacle Health Hospice.
