John Androsavich (1941 - 2004)

John Androsavich, 63, of 1102 E. Market St., Mahanoy City, died Saturday morning at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville.

Born in Mahanoy City, he was the son of Amelia "Millie" (Swirsky) Androsavich, Mahanoy City, and the late John Androsavich, attended Mahanoy City schools and served with the Army.

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, and a life-member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post 74, Mahanoy City.

Prior to retiring in 2001, he was employed for 17 years by Mrs. T's Pierogi, Shenandoah, and had earlier worked for 17 years for General Cigar Corp., formerly of Mahanoy City.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his brother, George Androsavage, Reading; a sister, Mildred Dziedziak, Shenandoah, nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc., 300 W. Center St., Mahanoy City, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church.

Interment will take place in the parish cemetery, Mahanoy City. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8.

The family prefers memorial donations to the St. Joseph R.C. Church Perpetual Adoration Chapel.
