Lecturer. Born Feb. 6, 1894 in Wausau, Wis.; son of Francis and Frances Betka. Elementary education at Catholic parochial school, Wasau, Wis. Secondary education at the Polish Theological Seminary, Detroit and Orchard Lake, Mich., 1907-1912; Philosophy and Theology at St. Francis Seminary, St. Francis, Wis. Ordained June 16, 1918. From July 18, 1918, to August 6,1919, assistant at St. Peter and Paul parish, Independence, Wis. From Aug. 6. to Sept. 1,1922 asst. of St. Michael parish, North Creek, Wis. On Sept. 1, 1922, appointed pastor of St. Stainslaus parish, Arcadia, Wis., where he is still stationed. Active in Catholic Youth Organization. Diocesan Director of C.Y.O. Active in Catholic Rural Life. Appointed Dean of the Diocese of La Crosse. Active in civic programs, business clubs; lectured in many places. Residence: 120 Maple Street, Arcadia. Wis.
