Gertrude M. Aneskevich (1924 - 2004)

Gertrude M. Aneskevich, 80, formerly of Tresckow and a resident at Weatherwood, The Carbon County Home, Weatherly, died Saturday evening at Hazleton General Hospital.

Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Gartska) Demkovich, and a member of St. Kunegunda's Roman Catholic Church, McAdoo.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Joseph, and a sister, Bernadine Tucci.

Surviving are her sons, Gerald, Tresckow; Mark, St. Louis, Mo., and Brian, Manchester, Conn.; sisters, Mrs. Louis (Verne) Pompei, Sicklerville, N.J., and Mrs. Orville (Florence) Henchel, Glen Burnie, Md.; a brother, John Demkovich, Avenel, N.J., and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Stanley E. Anilosky & Son Funeral Home, McAdoo, followed by the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kunegunda's R.C. Church. The Very Rev. Edward Zemanik will be the celebrant.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may cal at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
