Ann, Mother Mary.
Mother General of Franciscan Sisters of St. Kunegunda. Born in Prussia, January 30, 1850; daughter of Peter Wisinski and Kunegunda Platt. Upon arrival in U. S. with her parents settled in Chicago, Ill. Engaged as a dressmaker, supported her parents and her deaf sister. In 1894, with Josephine Dudzik founded a religious order--Franciscan Sisters of St. Kunegunda, whose chief purpose was to look after infirm and aged inmates. Made her perpetual vows in 1899. Elected first Mother General of the above religious order in 1910. Died January 27, 1917, at the Mother House in Chicago, Ill.
