Jablonowski, Francis Ladislaus Constantine
General. Born in 1769 in Poland; son of Constantine and Mary Frances Dealire. Educated in France, schoolmate of Napoleon Bonaparte at the military academy in Brienne, France. Nominated General Brigadier of Polish Legions by Napoleon. From 1788 to 1800 commander-in-chief of Polish Legion in Alps. Sent with the part of the Polish Legion to conquer San Domingo in 1801, where he died of yellow fever in 1802.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
