Came to U.S. in March, 1834, settling in New York, N. Y., together with 235 other refugees after the collapse of the Polish insurrection against Russia in 1830-31. He was a monk from Wolhynia, Poland. On April 9, 1834, electecda member of the special committee; this committee sent a petition to the Congress of U.S. asking for land to establish a Polish settlement.
