Jozwiak, John F.
Civic leader. Born June 9, 1864 at Wagrowiec, Poland. In 1879 came to U.S. and settled in Bay City, Mich. Established a meat market, then a dry goods store, then became a funeral director and established a furniture store. He organized a Polish Business Cooperative Ass'n. and was elected its first president. Became director of Kawkawlin State Bank and treasurer of the Catholic Federation of the Diocese of Grand Rapids, Mich. Treasurer of the Committee of Catholic Cemeteries in Bay City, Mich. Delegate to all national conventions of the P.R.C.U. and for a long time its vice-president.
