Borkowski, Leonard, Sr.
Cartoonist, correspondent, poet. Born in 1892 in Milwaukee, Wis. During World War I served 16 months overseas. He is a cartoonist for the Badger Legionnaire; editor, cartoonist and correspondent of Official News Publication of Milwaukee Garrison No. 90, Army and Navy Union; international correspondent of Carl Zeidler's Sunday Morning Breakfast Club in Milwaukee. Edith Warren has included some of his poems in "Important American Poets." Member of more than 20 local and national organizations; of American Legion's fun group 40 and 8.
