Polish Festival at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City
Donald Trump congratulates Jan Lewan for his successful Polish Festival at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City on June 17th and June 18th. The Pennsylvania Polka filled the air at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino during the Summer Polish Festival. Jan Lewan headlined and produced the festival for the second year.
It began at noon and continued with non-stop entertainment until 8 p.m. both days. The Jan Lewan Orchestra played as the doors opened, and every-one danced their way through the doors. Excitement filled the air as the orchestra played polkas from their recording, "Jan Lewan & His Orchestra" Volume II Once More From the Top.
When the show began and Lewan took the stage, the room erupted. Jan is dynamic. His personality and talent combined brought the audience alive. Everyone from the food servers to the doormen were singing "Polish blood is flowing through my veins." Jan is like a powerful stimulant who gets your adrenaline flowing.
"Toruniacy" a dance group from Torun, Poland, along with their musicians, delighted the crowd with their folk dances from Poland. The thunderous applause that these talented young people received put smiles on their faces and memories in their hearts that will be treasured for a lifetime.
The Polish American Dance Company, under the direction of Stanley Pelc, performed to perfection as they met and joined hands with Toruniacy.
Jan took great pleasure to introduce Len Filipowski, a concert pianist from New Winter, NY.
When Jan joined Len at the piano, the grand ballroom exploded. If you have never witnessed Jan on the piano, you have never truly witnessed the tal-ent, showmanship and style of Jan Le-wan. After the Polish Festival, there is a word to describe Lewan Ñ "electrifying."
As the chandeliers and the floor of the ballroom began to rattle, the audience wondered if an earthquake was taking place. As they turned to the doorways, their eyes focused on the glitter and splendor of the Polish American String Band. They strutted from the boardwalk to the ballroom, and set Atlantic City into a frenzy of excitement, as the place convulsed with singing, clapping and, of course, strutting, as the Jan Lewan Orchestra joined in with the Pennsylvania Polka.
Just when the excitement reached its climax, and it was impossible to bring any more excitement to the festival, Donald Trump, along with his wife Maria and daughter Tiffany, were drawn to the ballroom by the sound of the polkas. Lewan will return to the Trump Taj Mahal for another festival on October 14 & 15 with guest Happy Louie.
