Obituary
Allen W. Szyszko of Doylestown passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. He was 27. Born in Abington, Allen resided in Doylestown, before moving to Upper Black Eddy, in 2010. He graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel School and attended Archbishop Wood High School before graduating from Central Bucks East High School.Allen loved hockey and played from his childhood through high school and Penn State University. He was a member of the American Hockey Association, several hockey clubs, and also was a referee. Allen was a member of the American Pool Players Association, and was a member of St. John's Church of Ottsville.
He was recently employed as an automobile mechanic with Marchione Automotive of Plumsteadville for the past two years, after graduating with honors from Automotive Training Center.
He was the beloved son of Allen H. Szyszko, Betty Ann Thomas and husband, Gregory; dear brother of Vincent Morabito and Hayden Szyszko; loving grandson of Jane Szyszko and the late Edward, and the late John and Gertrude Link; grandnephew of Doris Toy, Lorraine Gorczyca and John Szyszko; nephew of Regina and Don Clifford, Michael and Julianna Thomas, Fran and Joyce Thomas, Stephen and Donna Thomas, Bernadette and Edward Trappler, Edward and Karen Szyszko, Paul and Nancy Szyszko, John and Jeanne Szyszko, Walter and Melanie Szyszko, and the late Gerry and George Thomas; cousin of Jessica, Tara, Ethan, Apryl, Blase, Carly, Dakota, Eryal, Victoria, Jonathan, Julia, Alycia, Alison, Olivia, Greyson, Allyssa, Alexis, Madison, McKenzie, and the late Fran. He also is survived by many dear friends.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main St., Doylestown, PA 18901. Another viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, PA, 18901, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
